It is the old story of the idylic rural life and the adolescent fall from grace. Then the slow decline of the rat race in the gritty city. When he was a young buck his time was spent chassing hens when he was not running from the older boys. A dandy, he never was able to prove himself against the grisled old bastards on the farm. After the rape of the young pullet he was wont to cast his beady yellow eye on, an old hen took pity on him and showed him what it meant to be a rooster. He never crowed so loud in his life, but it was a faint call to the locals as he high-tailed his way out of there.
